Project Background
Kenya’s National Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance (NAP-AMR 2023–2027) requires structured prioritization to ensure that limited resources are directed toward the most impactful One Health interventions.
Historically, AMR planning has faced challenges related to fragmented prioritization, limited cross-sectoral alignment, and insufficient integration between human, animal, and environmental health systems.
The Smart Choice Process (SCP), supported by NASIC and the Global Strategy Lab AMR Policy Accelerator, was designed to address these gaps through structured stakeholder engagement and evidence-based prioritization.
