Healthcare systems in Kenya have historically faced weak AMR detection and response mechanisms, limiting early identification of antimicrobial resistance threats and delaying coordinated action.
This gap has contributed to increased patient risk, limited surveillance efficiency, and fragmented reporting across facilities.
The DARE-AMR project was designed to strengthen both facility-level and national AMR detection systems through structured implementation support, multidisciplinary coordination, and improved data-driven response frameworks.
